HOTEL TRANSACTIONS BUYER PROFILE Despite a mild appreciation of the Australian dollar to key currencies such as USD, SGD, GBP, and EUR in recent months, the Australian dollar still remains relatively attractive compared to earlier this decade, which materially enhances the purchasing power of offshore investors. Offshore investors accounted for 46.3% of hotel transaction volumes in 2025, compared to 12.0% the prior year. This highlights a resurgence in international investments similar to that seen in pre-pandemic years.
